Are you having pest bird problems?  Do you have pigeons or gulls hanging out on bridge beams or buildings around the marina? Are birds loafing on your building ledges? Bird Free Optical Bird Repellent Gel is a new type of bird gel.  It comes ready to deploy in small dishes that can be placed almost anywhere.  Unlike other tactile bird gels that are sticky and messy, Bird Free Gel is in its own self-contained dish so it can be used in a lot of places where you wouldn’t use other bird gels like patio tabletops or balconies or boats, or anyplace that people frequent.

 

Regular bird gels only stimulate one sense of the birds – they are sticky and that is unpleasant for the birds.  But Bird Free Optical Bird Gel taps into multiple senses for the birds – visual, touch and smell/taste.  The elements in this avian deterrent gel create the illusion of flames in the ultraviolet light zone which birds can see. As birds approach their primary roosting or loafing site and the “flames” rise from the Bird Free Gel dishes their flight path and landing pattern are altered as they believe they are being confronted by a wall of fire. In addition, the gel has an odor that birds find unpleasant (there are certain scents that can repel birds) and if they overcome their fear of ‘fire’ and step anywhere near the gel dish they will find that sticky, unpleasant sensation as well.

Bird Free bird deterrent gel is an herbal oil-based gel and is not affected by temperature extremes, rain or snow.  This allows it to be used to deter birds in any weather situation.  The design also creates its own film which helps prevent evaporation.

Bird Free Optical Bird Repellent Gel is a great option for bird control when mechanical products like Bird Net or Bird Spikes are not an option.  Combining the Optical Bird Gel with some other bird scare products can make it even more effective.  For example, adding a predator or two like the Gull Cat Bird Scare Decoy which is a lifelike cat that moves in the wind or a Rotating Owl that is a life-sized owl on a rotating base which creates movement to make it more realistic can be very effective, especially if you get the Screech Owl version of the Rotating Owl which emits predator and bird distress sounds during daylight hours.  Add in some Bird Scare Flash Tape around the area to create flashes of light that causes panic in the birds, and you will see them fleeing the area quickly.
